discovery

i am always amazed to discover new plants in our back or side yard.
finding something beautiful and different in common settings brings a sense of satisfaction.
i just had to bring out my digicam and take photos of these flowers.

we went to wonder island resort in laguna.
i didn't have a digicam back then... good thing some of my officemates have great cameras.

mundane wonder

these flowers are just your average and ordinary kind.
they are not rare or extraordinary.
however, they still present a pleasant sight.
the photo on the left was from our backyard.
the other photo was from our trip to tagaytay.
i was fascinated by the flowers in the second photo because of its colors and because i haven't seen this type before.
i then found out from jnne that these shrubs with flowers like these are just ordinary plants common in baguio.
go figure... Ü

at the heart of it

i usually pass-by this tree once a week and was intrigued by how it looked.
it didn't have leaves or branches at the center.
i'm not exactly sure if it was intentionally trimmed to give way to the electric lines.
it could also probably be attributed to the electric field around the lines.
oh well..

live it. love it!

jnne and her mom had a hong kong trip a few months ago.
these are just few of the photos they took with my digicam.
yep... my cam went with them while i was left behind.
at least my cam was able to see the hong kong sites. hehe.

peers

yesterday was an interesting day. it actually started as one of those days that would just slip uneventfully by. it took a text message from a good friend from college to turn things around. bidz (which is how he is known to his friends) invited me to a game of basketball with his "tropa". even though i was in alabang and the venue was in cainta, i still gladly accepted. it was quite far... so why did i still accept? well, for one, bidz is an interesting guy who's fun to be with. he's a good friend jnne and i don't see often due to his busy schedule. also, his tropa was different in the sense that you would know who they are even though you haven't met them yet. bidz is a friendly guy and has lots of friends and tropas. the tropa we played with was cool not only because of who they were but also because they were kind, friendly, and down-to-earth despite their status.

i enjoyed our game even though i was out-of-sync. it was also tiring since we didn't have reserves. our team consisted of bidz (aka wallace or wallace tiktik from wazzup wazzup), vhong, drew, gerard (from yes yes show), and me. joross and john also was to play but joross had extended taping while john arrived late. man, it was weird at first. i was the only one in our team who was not in showbiz. it was easy to warm up to them though, since they were comfortable to be with. jnne and i found them to be friendly and kalog. we had a few laughs. jnne even got joked around for her loud cheering.

playing basketball with them was great but what really made the day interesting was finding out that despite being in showbiz, they still really are normal people like you and me. they're real people just like most of us who want to make most out of life and just be themselves most of the time. hopefully i'll be able to join them again for basketball. Ü

note: this is my first post that doesn't have photos. i decided not to post our pics for personal reasons. hehe.

road trip

on a spur of the moment, we decided to take a road trip.
we didn't have any definite plans on where to go and what to do when we get to tagaytay.
it was only when we exited the expressway that we decided to go to people's park in the sky.
the air was really a refreshing change.
i haven't been to this place before and, in my opinion, this place is better than picnic grove and taal vista ridge.
the photos were of the taal volcano and the tagaytay highlands. Ü

i was tidying up my room the other day when i came upon this photo.
it was given to me by a friend.
i can't exactly remember who, though.
i think it was michi... hehe.

from inside

i enjoy looking out from inside tall buildings.
a boundless view always captivates me.
these photos were taken from inside our office.
our office building isn't as tall as those in makati.
heck, we just have four floors.
but i still enjoy looking out from time to time... especially at night.

on my way to the office this morning, i noticed the sun hiding behind some clouds.
the scene was spectacular.
this photo isn't exactly the picture i saw when i was driving.
i took this when i arrived at the office.
still pretty good, i would say.
